The First Mission to the Pluto System and the Kuiper Belt by New Horizons

Relic of the establishment of the solar system - the dwarf planet Pluto New Horizons mission, we first check-in and the distant, mysterious depths occupied by the Kuiper belt to help understand the world at the edge of our solar system. The Journey January 19, 2006 launch of New Horizons; It is a boost of gravity in February 2007 and the scientific studies to Jupiter last protracted and summer 2015, Pluto and its moons six long checklist payoff study, 14 July, as part of operations with approach close to Pluto in 2015, NASA approved examinations long, the spacecraft's orbit at least billion miles beyond Neptune, the large area of ancient ice is expected to head farther into the Kuiper testing smaller worlds. The long journey to send a spacecraft on the surface properties, geology, internal makeup and answers to fundamental questions about the atmosphere helps us on the bodies. New Science Including Pluto - - National Academy of Sciences has named Kuiper belt ...

X-Ray Echos Map a Black Hole's Disc

Some 3.9 billion years ago in the heart of a distant galaxy, the tidal pull of a monster black hole shredded a star that wanderd too close. X-rays produced in this event first reached Earth on March 28, 2011, when they were detected by NASA's Swift satellite. Within days, scientists concluded that the outburst, now known as Swift J1644+57, represented both the tidal disruption of a star and the sudden flare-up of a previously inactive black hole. Now astronomers using archival observations from Swift, the European Space Agency's XMM-Newton observatory and the Japan-led Suzaku satellite have identified the reflections of X-ray flares erupting during the event. Led by Erin Kara, a postdoctoral researcher at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, and the University of Maryland, College Park, the team has used these light echoes, or reverberations, to map the flow of gas near a newly awakened black hole for the first time. Swift J1644+57 is ...

Black Hole - කලුකුහරය

Black Hole is massive collection of mass in a tiny space. Hence it has massive gravitational field. Even the fastest particles (Photons) can't escape this gravitational field. The only way to identify Black Hole is effects of it's gravitational field to surrounding objects. The dark area around Black Hole is a event horizon. If you toss some objects to a Black Hole, it's getting accelerated due to it's gravitational field. At a certain point, it's speed equal to speed of light. That point is the Event Horizon. When an objects reach the sped of light, it's flow of time will be frozen, After that all the laws of physics will be irrelevant. So we have no idea what is beyond this event horizon. And singularity is way event horizon. Even to date we don not have accurate way to identify it's composition. So what is the origin of this massive collection of mass creating a black hole?  All the stars in this universe are made with Hydrogen. Nuclear fusion is f...
